Goblin character from reference - Pencil + Fineliner

My starting goal here was to use the rule of thirds.

I've gathered goblin reference images into a folder partially for DnD,
but also because for some reason these creatures just seem interesting to me.

The character got more lively with flowing outlines from the sword, coat and locks.

Fitting the character in a grid was one of the focus points to study composition.
